A hovering male Paddle-tailed Darner guarding the
marshes below Jordanelle
Dam in Wasatch County, Utah. This guy was very aggressive in
chasing
off any intruders entering his feeding territory. Notice the
paddle-like
appendages at the very tail-end (hence the name). © Carol Davis,
