Beautiful young female Western Forktail at Garr Ranch on
Antelope Island. I was torn between the blue-fronted dancer
and the western forktail but
it seems the dancer is not known to inhabit Utah (so far). The colors
and markings seem right
and the forktail is found in Utah. ©Carol

This tiny damselfly's real name could be
Twiggy. What a perfect disguise for an insect that
seems to prefer flying low among the small brown and green
grasses. The male of this
species is blue with black markings. © Carol Davis, 2005
