Jagged Ambush Bug, Part I (three photos)

Just one of many "firsts" found at Bear River MBR.  This small bug preys upon
other insects and, in most instances, manages a darn good camouflage job.
This particular bug was just sitting on a sunflower leaf. © Carol Davis, 7-16-2006

I knew this was an Ambush Bug when I took the photo but didn't realize until checking
the downloaded image that there was a mating pair on this flower © Carol Davis, 8-31-06
