With all the millions of grasshoppers on Antelope Island, I wouldn't think the Robber Flies would resort
to preying on their own species, but I guess it happens more often than one would think. Sometimes
after mating the larger female will turn on the male and invite him for "lunch" and it could be the case
here but I don't know if they are the same species.
The Robber Flies were plentiful on this last day of
