"The Bride"

Catocala neogama
This is one of many "underwing" moths found in Utah. If you could see the underwings, they
would be yellow-orange with black stripes. I don't know how it got the nickname "The Bride" but
maybe it's because of how pretty it can be all decked out in full regalia. © Carol Davis, 8-17-2012
