Eupithecia cretaceata Moth
Family Geometridae

Eupithecia
              cretaceata
I found this moth in Brighton, Utah sitting in this position inside a leaf of its host plant, False
 Hellebore
(Veratrum viride). False Hellebore resembles a corn stalk and has beautiful flowers,
but it is toxic.  The larvae of this moth feed on the leaves and seeds of the plant. © Carol Davis, 7-14-2011
