Family Tiger Moths


I found this beautiful moth lounging at 8700 feet in the shade
below the path around Silver Lake at
Brighton, Utah. I wish I could have gotten closer to take a
better photo but the area it was resting in was
inaccessible (maybe next time).
These do come in varying
colors of black, white and orange and even
the wing design differs. Maybe
there are subspecies. I have no answer. If you do a search
for
