Western Yellowstriped Armyworm Moth
Spodoptera praefica
If this moth were in pristine condition, it could be rather
attractive with
all the gold lines and spots. This one was found in Taylorsville,
Utah.
According to Bugguide.net
the larvae of this moth feed on the leaves of alfalfa, potato, rice,
sugarbeet,
and sweet potato, plus various of other herbaceous plants. You
