Dwarf Spider
Genus Grammonota
5 or 6 mm

Grammonota
I thought this spider might have been an immature Yellow Sac Spider. The photo sat
for months on my computer until just recently when I took a second look. This
time I decided it might not be one because of the dark brown stripes down the
side of the abdomen.  Carol Davis, 7-11-2010, Taylorsville, UT

I submitted it to Bugguide.net to see if they knew what it was and one of the
experts suggested it might be the genus Grammonata.  Upon looking at
their photos for comparison, I decided they had to be right.
Dwarf Spiders
are just what they sound like - very tiny mature spiders. Carol Davis, 7-11-2010
