Jumping Spider
Genus Habronattus

unknown tiny Habronattus
This was a very small male Habronattus jumper on
Antelope Island, Davis County, Utah. The pictures are
a little blurry, but it's the best I could do. © Carol Davis 7-17-2008

Habronattus with midge
You can tell just how small this little guy was by his
prey - it was a midge.  I have seen this species before (female)
but the abdominal lines weren't as defined. I don't know
if the females are just a more faded color or they were
just worn. No one at Bugguide can identify these little
jumpers to species, yet.  © Carol Davis 7-17-2008
