Jumping Spider with Prey
Immature Phidippus audax

soup's on
This little immature Phidippus audax, with lunch, was so beautiful in the sunlight and it couldn't care
less that I was standing there taking pictures of it. The broken stem it was on was so close to
the ground I couldn't get a face shot but the orange markings on the abdomen kind
of look like a face anyway.  © Carol Davis 4-13-2015

phidippus audax
I don't see a lot of these on Antelope Island, although I know they must be everywhere, so
it's always fun to find one - especially a pristine, glowing-orange and black one with prey!
This one was in the grasses
at Garr Ranch.  © Carol Davis 4-13-2015
