Phidippus Juniors

These two shots are of a tiny Phidippus instar. It has
orange on the head
and the one below does not.


These two shots were taken a few plants down down the
road. This was a bigger spider (although
still small) and the orange on the head had faded to
almost nothing and the black on the back
has all but disappeared. I still think it's the same
species. I saw two mature Phidippus
this same day -- Phidippus Johnsoni and Apacheanus. © Carol Davis,
