Running Crab Spider  (two photos)
Tibellus oblongus

I hardly ever see these spiders, but when I do, it makes my
heart race; they are really classy looking (for a spider).
I just happened to look in a hole in the top of a bush on
Antelope Island and there she was, guarding her
egg sac.  © Carol Davis 6-2-2019

Tibellus oblongus have two spots on the rear part of
the abdomen. They belong to a family of crab spiders
called "Running Crab Spiders" (because they can turn
on the afterburners when they wish). © Carol Davis 6-2-2019
